The new fragrance is developed by the Guerlain in-house perfumer Thierry Wasser along with colleague Delphine Jelk. I would say the sweet lavender, almond and cherry notes in this fragrance gives this fragrance enough versatility to be worn all year around. It starts off with cherry and leather and incense topped with spices; in the deep dry down it is almost unrecognisable.

With the opening, L’Homme Ideal announces itself as a wonderful, elevated daytime scent, charismatic and playful but with a deep almond heart that is incredibly gentle, refined and potent. Smells like Dior Homme Intense if the lipstick-y iris note is replaced with a very vibrant baked cherry that lasts throughout. as for the juice it does not seem like they reformulated it at all if they did Guerlain did an excellent job. The only problem I have with the batch in my possesion, is that the longevity is lacking compared to some other fragrances I own. why pay more for a fragrance that you cant create memories to hold onto with or introduce to our little ones?

It is well crafted and unique, works great in cold weather night outs or dates, sophisticated and elegant, will get you noticed for sure. This is one of those fragrances that strikes the best balance of being unique smelling compared to other winter designer fragrances, but not in a challenging way. IDK, My first experience with Guerlain besides testing the EDP which lasts longer by far but do not like the smell as much. About the smell to me is darker than extreme with leather in front , I don't get any cherry or vanilla at all. It makes a statement for the first 2-3 hours, then becomes more moderate for the next 3 hours, and then stays cozy on the skin and clothes for a long time.

Bought this for chrismas pres for myself and its so watered down, last less then 1 hour on me and 0 sillage.

Sure it's very nice in the air, and if a person wears this it definitely turns heads, it's potent and lasts very well.

The opening begins with a bright citrusy opening, but the best part is after 15 minutes or so, when that amazing almond note shows itself and takes the fragrance into a completely unexpected direction. In general, it belongs to spicy/aromatic family, I can smell almost all of it's notes listed above but spices are rocking hard.
