Once that has all sunk in I liberally apply the No7 Skin Illuminator to add an external ‘inner glow’ again its a very lightweight highlighter and gives a very natural glow without making you look like a disco ball. Once its removed there's just a little applicator where you can squeeze the desired amount out directly on to your finger, much more economical! It has a lightweight, silky feel and although it isn’t especially moisturising, it leaves skin looking as though it has been thoroughly buffed with a nourishing face oil.

No7’s Skin Illuminator is quite similar to Clarins’ Instant Light Radiance Complexion Boosting Base, I think, though Clarins have theirs in three shades and No7, so far as I can see, just have the one very neutral tone. Note on application, for both: if you’re not adding something on top then don’t apply the illuminators to the tip of your nose. This reminds me somewhat of the NARS Illuminator as it has the same texture but I prefer the colour of the NARS illuminator which is a deeper peachy gold. My face skin changes constantly from smooth to dry, it's redish and the visible pores ruin my makeup, therefore a foundation either melts on my face or gets absorbed leaving my face with lots of spots of foundation from here and there.

I LOVE this product (even if I do find the brush applicator messy - I always forget to turn the nozzle off). This illuminator has that really subtle shine for if you want a not-glittery, more natural-looking highlight. Make-up wise the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser has been the only base I have been wearing, it provides just enough coverage but doesn’t leave your face feeling cakey or heavy.For dinner parties nothing beats the elegance of the classic After Eight or Bendicks Chocolate Mint Crisps especially when teamed with a Lavazza Espresso or Taylor's Rich Italian coffee.
