About this deal

Nanny Ogg has been married three times, and is the mother of fifteen children and has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She frequently appears in the Discworld series, particularly in the books featuring the Lancre witches.

While intellectually she would concede that he was indeed a fat, cunning, evil-smelling multiple rapist, she nevertheless instinctively pictured him as the small fluffy kitten he had been decades before. It was just that she could hit notes which, when amplified by a tin bath half full of water, ceased to be sound and became some sort of invasive presence. He has illustrated many Discworld publications including The Art of Discworld , best-selling The Last Hero and the Terry Pratchett's Discworld Imaginarium .

Indeed, in Thief of Time, Nanny Ogg is sought through various timeframes as she is/will become the best midwife in the world. It should also be noted that Nanny really likes to eat and drink despite only having one remaining tooth (The sight of Nanny Ogg eating a pickled onion supposedly brings tears to the eyes). It's made from apples, well, mostly apples; the mystery ingredients seem to give it power beyond mere alcohol. Carrots so you can see in the dark, she’d explain, and oysters so’s you’ve got something to look at. On the other hand, King Verence had long ago given up any idea of stopping a witch doing something she wanted to do, so merely required Nanny Ogg to keep her still somewhere it wasn’t obvious.

And you never get people from a long way off coming to our part of the world lookin’ for, as it might be, the Cottage of Doom or the Lost Chicken Shed. And if Nanny Ogg had been listening, she would have resolved as follows: that no maddened cackle from Black Aliss of infamous memory, no evil little giggle from some crazed vampyre whose morals were worse than his spelling, no side-splitting guffaw from the most inventive torturer, was quite so unnerving as a happy little chuckle from a Granny Weatherwax about to do what’s best. She shares this home with Greebo, a tomcat of evil aura and aroma and astonishing viciousness, whom she still sees as a sweet kitten.Terry worked for many years as a journalist and press officer, writing in his spare time and publishing a number of novels, including his first Discworld novel, The Color of Magic, in 1983. It has been mentioned (especially by Granny Weatherwax) that in her youth, Nanny had an enthusiastic appreciation for the company of men. Nanny Ogg, one of Discworld's most famous witches, has decided to pass on some of her huge collection of tasty and exceedingly interesting recipes. The recipes section is prefaced by Nanny Ogg, with a short article headed "Nanny Ogg's Philosophy of Cookery", stating the importance of good common cookery in the modern day and introducing the book as one that focuses mainly on Lancre and Sto Plains cuisine.
