The fruit is there in the background in the drydown but still overwhelmingly woody with strong patchouli. This is a winner for me for fruity freshness, forgetting about comparisons this is a good fragrance with moderate projection and stays on my skin for hours it will perform a lot brighter and longer if sprayed on clothing to. Being located in a Mediterranean and therefore hot region, they look for terroirs which are as cool as possible, often found at the edge of wine growing areas in the mountain foothills.

Then, light moorings of the hat were carried out throughout the vatting for a duration of three weeks. After wearing it a few days after purchasing it I was initially unimpressed, as to my nose it smelled exactly like CDIM.Considering the poor performance that a lot of people are stating here, I gotta say that I do not have such problems.

So, if you're comparing a 2023 bottle of Aventus to this stuff, still not close to my nose, with more than a few notes missing. Aventus has a citrus to it (at least my 2017 bottle does--more so than my 2012 bottle), but there's it's more subtle and the green apple and pineapple are more prominent to my nose. This review was written quickly after application, so I will have to come back and give an update on performance.Some say there's reformulation and that the intense is beast mode, but I have no direct knowledge on any of this.

Not quite sure where previous positive reviews came from but my experience of this aftershave is not good at all.For example, some top note citrus scents smell stronger immediately upon application, while a lavender middle note may be sensed after some time from application as the top note evaporates. This is wear the fragrance gets 'tough' for me as I don't like projection monsters, it doesn't fit my personality. Yes it was released prior to this frag and the intense version, but it is still truer to Aventus with the Black Current, Pineapple, etc. I put it on at 6:30 in the morning and I can still catch wiffs of it at 8 at night and that is with me "sissy spraying it" with 1 spray on each arm and 2 sprays around the top of my shirt/neck area.

L'A is more synthetic/too lemony, which is not very pleasant in the first 20-30 mins, but then it settles and it's very decent in the air, but still synthetic/too lemony from up close. It is old-fashioned but never boring, conventional but not too formal, simple but not too basic, traditional but still progressive”. It has a tinge of mould, probably from the musk, but it's tied in with something bitter (not the zesty fruit).
