Bought as a replacement. East to install. Much quieter than our previous pump. Works well. No problems so far. To boost tank-fed supplies to instantaneous electric showers, water heaters, washing machines and combination boilers - according to inlet pressure requirements. The new Salamander CT Xtra range raises the bar for all other entry level shower pumps to follow. With advanced design features this range of single and twin ended shower pumps will quietly and efficiently boost the hot and cold water supplies to thermostatic or manual mixer valves, and are suitable for a wide range of shower types and heads, making the new Salamander CT Xtra pumps the best value for money pumps available. The cold-water storage tank also feeds the hot water cylinder, where a heating coil from the boiler or immersion heater will cause the cold water to become hot. Once an outlet requiring hot water is opened, gravity will force cold water from the cold-water storage tank into the hot water cylinder, this will then force hot water out from the top of the cylinder, delivering hot water to the open outlet.
The reduced noise operation emanates from the integration of an efficiently designed water way and impeller. Other improvements in the design have led to a greater flow and pressure performance, whilst the compact overall dimensions make installation a dream in tight spaces. The CT75 Xtra is suitable for conventional showers, Victorian can style shower heads, multi-function showers, massage function or champagne spray. Did have an initial problem, phoned Salamander and replacement pump sent same day. Customer is extremely pleased with the shower performance. The Salamander range of CT Shower Pumps are tough, easy to fit general purpose twin booster pumps, this range will boost the hot and cold water supplies to thermostatic or manual shower mixer valves. Remote Delivery
Cold water is delivered to the cold-water storage tank from the water mains. Cold water from the cold-water storage tank is then supplied to the outlets around the system, such as taps, toilets, showers and baths. The CT75 Xtra is ideal for conventional showers, Victorian can style shower heads up to 125mm, multi-function showers or champagne spray. I would have preferred the next bar pressure up but the extra price was too prohibitive. I went for this make because it said that it was a quiet pump. It certainly is a lot quieter than the one it replaced.
