About this deal

Sixth one said the timing belt needs chaged and the tensioner belts (previous owner said its been done - however I have no proof that it has been and it was something I was going to change anyway) This answers the first two questions, what are tappets, and what is their purpose. To answer the rest:

With most plastic sugar craft cutters, we recommend the use of a release agent like Jem Petal Base and we also remind customers that although most cutters will work fine with good quality sugarpaste, all manufacturers state that for best results they should be used with flower / modelling paste Well, I think that depends on the engine you have, how many cylinders and how complex the cylinder head is. Overall, on straight forward engines, with a fairly easy to obtain set of specialized tools, you should be ok if you research what needs to be done first. I would not recommend just diving in with air tools and a tight schedule. Take your time, do your homework, and with the right engine. You should be ok. The next step is to set your points gap. Changing your points gap will change your timing so before you do anything else make sure that your points gap is set correctly.Connect your timing light to your car battery and then simply connect the third wire on the timing light around the HT lead which connects to cylinder number 1. Initially I thought it was battery so I got myself a charger but it showed fully charged. I got another charger and that showed the same thing. I then called the dealer and was told maybe my battery is totally dead as weather has been colder than usual in UK past month. Not just any beer can call itself ‘Trappist’. To be recognised by the International Trappist Association, the beer must fit three conditions. Firstly, the beer must be brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery by monks – or under their direct supervision. Secondly, the brewery must be of secondary importance to the practice of the monks.

Finding the correct value for your vehicle requires finding the vehicle's weak points as well as its strengths. The carburettor pulls in air and fuel and mixes it together to form a fuel vapour. This vapour then travels down the inlet manifold into the inlet ports on each cylinder head. From here the inlet valves open and allow the vapour to enter the combustion chamber of the cylinder head which is where the explosion (combustion) happens. The SparkNot a prayer. If your engine is designed to work without them, then yes. But if it is designed to use them then it absolutely will not run without them. There are so many engine designs out there I'm sure there's one somewhere that doesn't use a device like this, but I am not aware of them. This is only one type of tappet by the way, there's a whole array of other types. Perhaps as an answer to another question, this one is getting big. You say you turn ignition on and nada, as in no warning lights, no horn, no indicators, as in completely dead ? As a matter of interest, have you been starting the bike since it was laid up, say once a month which I suspect may be easy for you to remember to do ? Without the tappet the return spring and valve stem would have to follow the cam lobe directly. That would score the cam lobe and not provide a consistent footing for the spring so that the valve would close to a tight fit every time.
