About this deal

Side effects are unlikely at the recommended dose. If you experience the following side effects stop treatment immediately and seek medical advice. Rennie is suitable for use in pregnancy or when breastfeeding if taken as instructed. However, if you are pregnant always talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine. RENNIE PEPPERMINT INGREDIENTS Rennie ® Sugar Free tablets work in the usual fast way to relieve the symptoms of heartburn and indigestion, but without the sugar for those who need to monitor their sugar intake. Calcium and magnesium are excreted in human milk, but at therapeutic doses of the product no effects on the breastfed newborns/infants are anticipated. The stated dose should not be exceeded. If, after 14 days of treatment, symptoms persist or only partly disappear the patient should consult a doctor.

Hypersensitivity reactions have very rarely been reported. Clinical symptoms may include rash, urticaria, pruritus, angioedema, difficulty in breathing and anaphylaxis. Containing antacid to neutralise excess stomach acid, Rennie Peppermint tablets work fast to relieve the symptoms of heartburn and indigestion. Rennie is suitable for use in pregnancy or when breastfeeding if taken as instructed. However, if you are pregnant always talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine. RENNIE SUGAR FREE INGREDIENTS Rennie should not be used in patients with hypercalciuria (see also section 4.3). Prolonged use increases the risk of formation of renal calculi. Unfortunately heartburn and indigestion are a common problem during pregnancy but what things are suitable to take during pregnancy which won’t effect your blood sugar levels? Gaviscon and Sugar Free Rennies. If these do not work then your GP may prescribe Omeprazole. All these products are suitable for use during pregnancy with gestational diabetes. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. No increased risks of congenital defects have been observed after the use of this product during pregnancy. Thiazide diuretics reduce the urinary excretion of calcium. Due to an increased risk of hypercalcaemia, serum calcium should be regularly monitored during concomitant use of thiazide diuretics. The listed adverse drug reactions are based on spontaneous reports, thus an organisation according to CIOMS III categories of frequency is not possible.

Especially in patients with impaired renal function, prolonged use of high doses can result in hypermagnesaemia or hypercalcaemia and alkalosis which may give rise to gastric symptoms and muscular weakness (see below). Long term uses at high doses can result in undesirable effects such as hypercalcaemia, hypermagnesaemia and milk-alkali syndrome, especially in patients with renal insufficiency.

The maximum recommended daily dose should not be exceeded and should not be taken for more than 2 weeks. If symptoms persist or only partly disappear after 2 weeks, medical advice should be sought. There are two main reasons why heartburn and, to a lesser extent, indigestion are common at this time: Caution should be exercised in patients with mild to moderate impairment of renal function (see section 4.3 – contraindication in severe renal insufficiency). If Rennie is used in such patients, plasma calcium, phosphate and magnesium levels should be regularly monitored.

Many women suffer from both heartburn (acid reflux) and indigestion during pregnancy and it tends to become more common as the pregnancy progresses. In fact, by the third trimester, nearly three-quarters of pregnant women can suffer from heartburn. We take a look at the causes and symptomsof heartburn during pregnancy and explore a few options for treating this uncomfortable condition. Causes of heartburn in pregnancyCalcium salts reduce the absorption of fluorides and iron-containing products, and calcium salts and magnesium salts can hinder the absorption of phosphates. Changes in gastric acidity, such as that caused by the ingestion of antacids, can affect the rate and degree to which some concurrently administered medicines are absorbed. Rennie Peppermint tablets contain two naturally-occurring antacids called calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate which neutralise excess stomach acid by turning it into water & other natural substances.
