OK, some of the 80s crummy production techniques is starting to creep in here, although Bryan is complimented by many of the better musicians of the time including Johnny Marr of the Smiths. Ironically sounds more dated than either Avalon or Boys and Girls. Still, 2/3rds of this record is great, although this is the very first hint we get of Bryan's vocals starting to fade a bit. Well worth seeking out, and by far the hardest to find remaster. 7.0 out of 10. If you are a Roxy fan (and how could you not be), Bryan's solo albums have so much to offer, they should not be overlooked, they in many ways meet that impossibly high standard set by his main band. You have to chase these albums down if you are in the USA, they are UK imports. I can't see how anyone could be disappointed by these remasters, or the Ludwig-remastered Roxy Music HDCDs from 1999. It's hard to believe how good these sound, just awesome. This album is less well known than Avalon but is every ounce its equal. This is a marvel of modern recording and mixing technology, and Ludwig's remaster gives you the most of it. Impossible to resist, this album will take you away to a different world, you'll love it if you have a romantic bone in your body.
