About this deal

Amy Ronneberg, CFO, National Marrow Donor Program/Be The Match® Said: “Patients in need of a life-saving marrow transplant are most likely to match a donor of their same race and ethnicity. Team Margot is meeting that need by recruiting diverse donors and people of mixed heritage. We’re proud to partner with such an outstanding organization, dedicated to saving lives.” All-Party Parliamentary Group for Ethnicity Transplantation and Transfusion Announce Parliamentary Inquiry into Diversity, Donation and Delivery Team Margot is Secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group: Ethnicity Transplantation and Transfusion

It’s World Blood Cancer Day & 500 pubs and bars are making their mark by supporting ‘Pinkspiration Week’This cute story is all about a boy and his new friend from the ocean, Blue. Blue is all down and truly blue and the boy seeks out to find why Blue is so Blue. It contains an important message that is geared to young children about the hazards of plastic waste in our environment, specifically in the oceans. Grocery bags, being the main thing in the whales mouth, was so sad to see as I know it’s reality. The latest version of Margot’s favourite book “I love you, Blue Kangaroo!” is now in the shops and available online… As a society, we need to do better about plastic waste and actually throwing away trash where it goes, which is a trash can or a dumpster. NOT THE OCEAN! I mean, Blue saves the day by rescuing the boat from a raging storm, and then the boy turns superhero by pulling out all those plastic bags from Blue's belly. It's a cool message about the whole ocean plastic issue, which we all need to be aware of, but I was expecting a bit more depth in the plot.

Blue Kangaroo has trouble sleeping at night because he is upset. Find out why we need sleep and think of ways that we can help ourselves to sleep. The charming illustrations are simple and sweet; the text is spare and authentic as it gently conveys the importance of caring for the earth and all living things, particularly ocean creatures threatened by plastic pollution. The blues of the whale, the ocean, and the earth subtly reinforce the interconnectedness of all things. The book offers many opportunities for children to think and talk about their own favourite toys and how they feel about them. There’s also an opportunity to talk about presents, why we give them and the presents you can’t buy. What dochildren think of the ending? Tell the story We loved this idea of using an emotion word spy glass to help younger learners search in picture books for feeling and emotion words. It was inspired by the idea of using our ‘coggles’ to look for the different aspects of emotional learning in stories and other texts, but it makes the idea so much simpler by focusing on any content relating to a single aspect, or ‘cog’, at a time.
