I loved the story overall. The plot was intriguing and kept me wanting to read more and more and get to the end to see how it all unfolds. Lo que más me gustó es que Valentina es una mujer luchadora, dura y fuerte. Puede defenderse por sí sola y lo demostró.

This book could be a 5 stars for me. But, I'm not a fan of insta love they have. It could've been a great enemies to lovers. To deal with violence effectively, you need to understand it. A habitually violent person generally isn’t very smart. They can’t figure out how to deal with a situation. They fail to control their emotions and lash out. When you know what to look for, nearly every act of violence can be preempted. Sometimes all it takes is a few carefully chosen words. Other times, you can only stop it with your own show of force. That’s what you did tonight.”

Liked the characters, a couple decent 🔥 scenes, overarching plot and existing character development! Hero relatively J/P 🥰

the author ate and left no crumbs . I find it hard to believe this was her first mafia romance because she aced it . The world building was AMAZING : simple , straight to the point , no fluff .the WRITING got me hooked from start to finish . I COULDN'T put the book down . Loved the danger, the mystery and the helplessness (at the start) for Vale. The way she really become her own when her life went to complete chaos. When She Unravels is an 18+ dark mafia romance with mature themes, profanity, and plenty of steam. It's book one in The Fallen series but can be read as a standalone.

This book had its moments, Vale is a badass and the author made the effort of adding layers to both Vale and Damiano’s characters but IDK what it is, it just felt a little flat sometimes, however it did have the occasional thrill when they’d talk a little dirty to each other. I've been raised to be the perfect mafia wife, but when my marriage turns into a horrific nightmare, I have no choice but to leave everything behind and start a new life.
