Description

The Green-Eyed Monster always makes Milo feel bad and hissing hatred toward Milo especially when he sees Jay and Suzi playing together. It was a difficult phase in Milo's life and his world became gloomy. So many children will at some point experience the feeling of being 'left out' and recognise it in this story. Reading Milo's Monster will help them understand those feelings and give them a way to manage them; it will help them to see jealousy as an emotion they can control, and also how to extract themselves from a situation by saying sorry. Rabe follows a young girl through her first 12 days of kindergarten in this book based on the familiar Christmas carol. Milo and Jay have always been best friends . . . until one day, a green-eyed monster appears! A book about dealing with jealousy, from the bestselling Big Bright Feelings series by Tom Percival Tom Percival's Big Bright Feelings series is the perfect springboard for talking about mental and emotional health, positive self-image, building self-confidence and managing feelings. Every child's bookshelf should contain his books.

What's the best thing you've ever written?A poem I wrote about a badger when I was six. It included the phrase, ‘He dragged his lumbering frame across the leaves’ which I MUST have stolen from a book I’d read that day. Sadly it was never photocopied and is now lost FOREVER. I even drew a scratchy pen and ink picture of the said Badger – we learnt to write with italic metal nibbed pens at my frankly archaic primary school. Even if I am an adult right now, I can still identify the feeling of jealousy as a monster always talking bad in my ears. If you felt jealous of another person, what would you do? How could you help somebody who was feeling jealous of you? Warm and uplifting, Milo's Monster is an inspiring story about dealing with feelings of jealousy. It's the ideal starting point for helping children to build strong friendships and say goodbye to jealous feelings. experiments on children as was done Kinderheim 511, with one very big difference: instead of the children being raised in an atmosphere of cruelty and violence, they were being loved and taken care of.The Nottinghill Carnival takes central stage in this story about families, memories and the power of dance and festivals. Author Yaba Badoe tells... When Suzi spoke to him (communication of an issue), he did not see her as a threat anymore; she expressed how Milo's best friend felt, making him realise they were both missing each other. Milo’s Moster is an engaging story of a child that sees his best friend meeting and making a new friend. Milo is jealous of their friendship and is described as a green-eyed monster.

I’ve never really been one for reading ‘how to write’ books, which is exactly why I love this book. It’s more like a series of essays on the sorts of thing that you might want to consider if you are trying to write any sort of long form fiction (as I am!). It doesn’t deal with any actual ‘step-by-step’ breakdowns of what to do, but reminds you of key principles, such as being emotionally honest. It’s also hugely entertaining and revealing in its own right. Oliver Jeffers. For very similar reasons to Jon Klassen, I really admire Oliver Jeffers’ ability to communicate a huge amount of emotion or mood with the bare minimum of marks. I always seem to end up going with the illustrative equivalent of the ‘Wall of Sound’ in music production! After the murder of Mr. Petrov and the old lady who helped him take care of the children, Wolfgang Grimmer was suspected by the police to have been the assailant. Milosz and other kids swore that Grimmer was with them the whole time the supposed murder happened, and that a 'beautiful blonde lady' was the one who committed the act.

until his stomach grew hungry, and then he returned home. When he arrived, Milosz readily told the other boys what he saw and they immediately came up with a plan to catch the Blonde Lady so they could prove Grimmer's innocence to the police. In Milo's Monster, the author explores jealousy and what happens when Milo feels that his best friend, Jay, is being taken away by new girl, Suzi. Milo gets angrier as he feels increasingly left out of their games until eventually, a green-eyed monster appears, making Milo feel even more angry and jealous to the point where he stops playing with his old friends. Eventually, Milo realises that his actions are making them as sad as he feels and he finds a way to say sorry, and the children become friends once more. Milo loves spending time with his best friend, Jay. But when a new girl called Suzi moves in next door, Milo starts to feel left out. The jealous feeling gets stronger and stronger - until suddenly, a GREEN-EYED MONSTER pops up beside him! Soon, the monster is poisoning Milo's thoughts. It won't leave him alone! Can Milo find a way to free himself from the monster and repair his friendship? Warm and uplifting, Milo's Monster is an inspiring story about dealing with feelings of jealousy. It's the ideal starting point for helping children to build strong friendships and say goodbye to jealous feelings.
